This project involved the redesign of four separate green spaces in the small village of Lawrencetown.
The principal space redesigned by Murray & Associates was a small green located in the heart of the village, between two public houses and with private housing and fields to the rear. The space was enclosed with shrub planting and a small plaza area utilising the local limestone, quarried just 5 miles away and worked by village stonemasons was used in the paving and seating. The village pump was reused as a fountain in a pool. Detailed design included selection of concrete paving for roadway, lighting, seating, water feature down to limestone finishes.
