Dundrum Apartment Blocks

The landscape proposal consists of a roof garden, internal site layouts and upgrading the existing junction.

This feature is the central open space within the proposed development. All of the proposed apartments have a view into this space. The courtyard makes use of the change in level (which is 3-4.5 metres) by means of the creation of a series of terraces.

There are three levels of water proposed, all of which cascade down into the main pool. The central pool will be a shallow reflecting pool with approx. 100mm depth of water and lined with washed cobble. The planted terraces are composed of plant material which will trail down the retaining structures over time and soften the appearance of the courtyard.

The main central space has been configured to be a soft landscape space in keeping with the residential nature of the development. Large areas of paving have been avoided, and the space is configured with a number of small pockets of high quality stone paving interspersed with lush planting of Bamboo, and textured plant material. The proposal also makes use of fine textured plant material and trees.
