IDA College Business & Technology Park

College business & technology park was developed in conjunction with the new Blanchardstown Institute of Technology. The main scheme envisages the development of approx. 350 acres for an Institute of Technology and a business park. The park will be of mixed use and will provide opportunities for the development of synergies between the business campus and the IT facility.

The brief for the project called for an informal campus style of entrance, and the setting in place of a landscape structure for the park. The use of large gates and walls was avoided in order to foster the idea of an open parkland campus which was accessible to all.

The detailed design and development of the entrance area, roadways and services was worked on in conjunction with the project engineers. Phase 1 of the works were completed in 2001 with the remainder of the scheme continuing on an ongoing basis. In addition, the landscape standards set down in the masterplan will be continued throughout the site by careful evaluation of proposed schemes for the park. Subsequent to the initial stages of development, the Institute of Technology has recently completed the first phase of building works on the campus site.
